Interim manager Darren Fletcher takes charge of his first game in charge of the Red Devils this season as he replaces Ruben Amorim who was ruthlessly sacked on Monday morning.
How United will line up against the Clarets is a mystery, but the players available have now been revealed as Fletcher aims to take his team into the top four with a vital 3 points.
Amad (Ivory Coast), Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco) and Bryan Mbeumo (Cameroon) are all representing their respective countries at the Africa Cup of Nations and will miss this week’s clash.
Meanwhile, outcast Kobbie Mainoo trained this week but will not feature against Burnley due to a calf injury that has left him out of contention since December 15th.
Matthijs de Ligt will also miss out due to a back injury which he suffered at the start of December. His last appearance to date was in the away win over Crystal Palace on November 30th and Fletcher will not welcome him back this week.
Finally, as revealed by journalist Fabrizio Romano, United welcome back both Harry Maguire and captain Bruno Fernandes, which Fletcher will be delighted with as he picks his starting eleven.
“Good news for Manchester United as understand Harry Maguire returns with the squad for Burnley game.
“Maguire has been spotted at team’s hotel today and he’s set to be available after long injury.
“Bruno Fernandes, also back.”
