Toro currently sit 15th on the Serie A table, three points above the dropzone.

D'Aversa posted to Instagram this morning: "The Great Torino, Superga, the Mole Antonelliana, the Alps, the Po River, the Granata. The history of football and Italy.

"I'm thrilled to know that I too am part of this universe of passion, popularity  and sentiment called Turin. Forza Toro!"

Meanwhile, at yesterday's presentation, D'Aversa also stated: “The standings need to be looked at. The team's potential doesn't reflect it, but if we're three points above the relegation zone, we need to be realistic.

"We need to improve; the mistake would be to think we won't be sucked into the relegation zone. The club has already sent a message; I haven't seen the players yet, but they feel responsible when this happens. We need to convey calm, but also try to improve certain aspects.”
