The son of Carlo Ancelotti, Davide followed his father from Real Madrid to taking up a position with Brazil. Between then, he also had six months in charge of Botafogo.
Ancelotti told Sky Italia: "The idea is to return to being a senior coach after the World Cup as my Dad's assistant with Brazil, now I'm focused on that.
"I'd like to start, even though I already spent six months at Botafogo, a a wonderful experience, but difficult. We achieved our goal, which was to qualify for the Copa Libertadores.
"I'm open to different countries, I've traveled a lot with my Dad, so I have no problem starting abroad."
On returning home to Italy, he added: "Yes, I'd like to speak in Italy every now and then. It's been years since I've given an interview in Italian.
"I grew up in my country playing and then watching my father at AC Milan. I'd like to spend my career in Italy."
