The former Real Madrid youth teamer signed permanently for the Cherries last week from AC Milan.
And he told AS about his reasons to sign outright: “Well, of course. It catches your attention, especially this summer when I saw that Bournemouth wanted me.
"It catches your attention that last year (Dean) Huijsen went to Real Madrid, (Illia) Zabarnyi was signed by PSG, Dango (Ouattara) by Brentford…
"That also catches your attention, because, in the end, you look at where you want to go and what you can achieve in the future.”
On his time with Real Madrid and Milan, the wing-back also said: “At Real Madrid, I learned everything there is to know about football. I joined very young, at seven years old, and left almost as a grown man.
"They taught me so much. Milan was another step forward for me. It was the club that gave me the opportunity to play in the First Division. I will always be very grateful to Milan because not every club gives you the chance to play at that level, especially a club like Milan.
"And I'm very happy here at Bournemouth.”
