After just 8 months in charge, Frank was let go on Wednesday morning following a winless start to 2026 in the Premier League and leading the North London side to 16th in the table.
This came following Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United which was the straw that broke the camel's back as the board finally took action after much fan protest.
Now, according to The Telegraph, a source has come out and stated that the Danish manager was a huge fan of league leaders Arsenal which only irritated Tottenham players.
"He was constantly going on to the players about Arsenal, and they quickly got sick of it.
“Even before and after the game at the Emirates, he was telling them how good Arsenal were. The feeling among some was very much ‘just shut up about Arsenal'."
Spurs have won just two of their past 17 league matches, taking 11 points in that time. Their current winless run of eight games is their longest in the Premier League since October 2008.
The club are only five points above the relegation zone and could drop down as clubs below such as Leeds United and West Ham United gather form.
Tottenham have 11 days until their next game against rivals Arsenal, a side that Frank constantly admired and compared to his lacklustre side who have little hope against the Gunners.
