Tottenham star Wilson Odobert is reportedly out for the season due to a serious knee injury.

Odobert was forced off with a worrying-looking knee problem against Newcastle United, and it has now been revealed by L'Equipe that the Frenchman will miss the rest of the campaign.

The 21-year-old’s hopes of making it into the France squad under manager Didier Deschamps for the 2026 World Cup also now appear to be over in what is a devastating blow.

This news comes just hours after it was announced that manager Thomas Frank has been sacked on Wednesday morning after winning none of his Premier League games in 2026 and leading the side to 16th in the league.

Spurs already have several injuries to deal with as the likes of James Maddison, Pedro Porro, Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison are all out of the side who are in a serious relegation battle this season.

Odobert, who arrived at Spurs from Burnley for £25M in August 2024 has two goals and five assists in 33 appearances for Spurs this season and is unlikely to step on to the pitch for a number of months.

His injury adds to the fact that the club are now starting their search for a replacement for Frank as the likes of Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim are linked with the role in what would be a very difficult job to take.

Spurs slipped to within five points of the relegation zone as their winless run in the league extended to eight games after the loss to Newcastle United this week as fans worry about where the club is heading.
