Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has spoken to the media ahead of this week's clash with Real Madrid.

Facing a daunting three-goal deficit against Real Madrid, City boss Pep Guardiola has the impossible task of turning around a 3 goal deficit after their defeat in the first leg.

Federico Valverde stunned the hosts with a sensational first-half hat-trick last week, leaving City’s European hopes in tatters as they host the Spanish giants at the Etihad this Tuesday.

Belief has not been extinguished however as Silva spoke ahead of the game about how he and his still have hope heading into the game.

“For this sport has taught us a lot of things can happen in a football game and even though the result in Madrid was really bad, we will fight until the end, knowing it is going to be tough. The opponent is a really good one. A lot of things can happen especially.

“It would be very important, the earlier the better. No matter what it can still happen. We know in football and especially our team we are capable of creating a lot of chances. If we score early, it will be better. We are going to take some risks and go for it.

“If you believe in this game the little details will go our side. If Nico's goal goes in, it is different. We have to believe Erling will score. When they have their chances, we have to believe our defence will block. With that belief, it can be possible.”

Los Blancos have won four of their last five matches in all competitions whilst City head into the game on the back of a poor 1-1 draw with West Ham.

Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham have also returned for Madrid as all signs point to the Spanish side progressing despite City’s belief in themselves.
