Kai Rooney is expected to sign scholarship forms with United in the coming weeks and his father admits when he was playing with the son of Cristiano Ronaldo, Cristiano Jr, in the same U16 team, the focus was intense.
He said on the Wayne Rooney Show: "There's a bit more pressure on them as well. Kai and Ronaldo came back, Ronaldo's lads and Michael Carrick's lad (Jacey) were all on the same team.
"You go and watch and then all of a sudden there's like 10 times the amount of people that's normally there, all around the pitch watching, so there's a lot more pressure because they're coming to watch the three kids to see how they play and stuff.
"They've got to be ready."
While Kai Rooney and Jacey Carrick will both sign scholarship deals with United, Cristiano Jr has been capped by Portugal U17s while playing for Al-Nassr's youth team.
