Guardiola’s last game in charge of the Citizens following confirmation of his exit on Friday will come against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
During a remarkable 10-year career at the Etihad Stadium, the Spaniard has completely transformed English football and leaves as one of the Premier League’s most iconic managers.
As City prepare to lose their greatest manager of all time, Guardiola has spoken on stepping down and how it won’t be simple replacing him ahead of the new campaign.
"It doesn't work to copy and paste in this kind of job," Guardiola said. "You have to be unique, natural and yourself and the new manager will be himself.
“The moment it starts to be a copy for another one ... Everyone is everyone. It has to be like that. And that's why everything is going to be good."
Reports state that former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who worked under Guardiola at City several years ago, is set to step in for Guardiola this summer in what looks like a straight replacement.
The Italian’s exit from The Blues in January came after discussions with City representatives over him potentially taking over at the Etihad and as he readies himself to take the job, he will have listened to Guardiola’s comments closely ahead of what will be the biggest role of his career so far.
