Amad and Mbeumo have thrived when selected together in United's attack this season.
"Yeah, at the beginning of the season (we were playing) the same (side), on the right," Amad told the assembled journalists in Dublin yesterday. "I was playing as a wing-back and he was playing as a right (no.) 10.
"And yeah, we had a good relationship, even outside the pitch."
"We had a great relationship at the start of the season, and I think it's still going," Mbeumo concurred. "With him on the right and me sometimes on the left or striker.
"I know his movements and I know as well how he likes to play, with the training and the games as well, we always try to do this partnership every time."
Amad says he and Mbeumo feed off eachother's confidence.
"We know each other," Amad noted. "We want to have more freedom on the pitch and switch the positions when the team need (it).
"He's happy to do his best for the club and same for me, and we want to continue like this."
