Manchester United are preparing to face Bournemouth this weekend and 3 Matthijs de Ligt, Benjamin Sesko and Harry Maguire are a major doubt.

Amad Diallo, Bryan Mbeumo and Noussair Mazraoui were among the 20 outfield players preparing for the clash against the Cherries as all eyes turned towards United’s training session this week.

De Ligt was absent against West Ham and Wolves due to his knock and missed training ahead of the game. However, Manchester Evening News report that he was present at Carrington and conducted external media duties.

The Dutchman had started every game up to the contest against West Ham on December 4th, when he was omitted from the side due to a fitness issue.

Sesko returned to individual grass training this week but also missed the session along with Maguire in what are two huge blows for Amorim at either end of the pitch.

Reports state that Sesko’s recovery from a knee injury is understood to have gone well and that he could return against Bournemouth. Despite this, the striker missed training, which puts his spot in the side in doubt.

Amorim provided an update on November 21st, saying: "He is going to stay a few weeks out. I don’t know how long, but it’s not that serious. We have to be careful with him."

United jumped to sixth in the table after the 4-1 win at Molineux as they crushed bottom the league Wolves earlier this week. Old Trafford will be hoping to return to winning ways when it hosts Bournemouth, who are coming off the back of a 0-0 draw with Chelsea.
