The Italy U21 fullback joined Brentford in January from Fiorentina.
Speaking with Sportweek: “I was thrilled to be joining an incredible league like the Premier League. Anyone wants to play there. My debut came on February 2nd, against Tottenham.
"My first home game was exciting, even though we obviously lost. Any advice? I spoke a lot with (Alberto) Aquilani, my Primavera coach for two years, who played for Liverpool. I spoke with him and then literally with all my Fiorentina teammates: everyone had their own opinion, but since there was a chance I'd leave, they advised me on how to approach things.
"Once I arrived, I also spoke a lot with (Christian) Nørgaard, because he also played for Fiorentina and I was sitting next to him in the dressing room: he gave me a huge hand.”
Kayode added, “I feel like it's a great fit. I felt right at home right away; it's a fantastic club, and I'm thrilled with everything I have here. It's a wonderful group: I'm not just talking about the players and staff, but everyone welcomes you as if you've been here for three or four years.”
