In the summer of 2024, former Brentford boss Thomas Frank opened his chequebook and forked out £30M to sign Thiago from Club Brugge.
Since then, the striker has flourished into one of the deadliest in the English top flight, having scored five goals in four of the Bees' November fixtures.
The Brazilian beat Newcastle's Harvey Barnes, Everton's Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Manchester City's Jérémy Doku, Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White, Chelsea's Reece James and Arsenal's Declan Rice to claim the presigious award.
Thiago has stepped up after the departures of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa in the summer and says that winning the award just shows his work behind the scenes is paying off.
"It means so much to me. I'm really happy to receive this because it means my hard work on the pitch has paid off.
"I'm surprised! But hopefully I can receive more of these this season. I'm so happy and proud of myself."
Thiago added two goals in the 3-1 home win against Burnley, taking his Premier League total for the season to 11. He now faces Leeds United this weekend as he aims to catch up to top scorer Erling Haaland.
