Fulham have announced the signing of Jonah Kusi-Asare on loan from Bayern Munich.

The teenager came on as a substitute again in the 6-0 win over RB Leipzig at the start of the new Bundesliga season and signed a contract extension before making his way to Fulham where he will hope to make his Premier League debut under manager Marco Silva.

This move comes due to the arrival of Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson who will play as a backup for striker Harry Kane which therefore means Kusi-Asare would not get a chance under manager Vincent Kompany.

After signing for The Cottagers, Kusi-Asare said he is excited to get started with the club who face Leeds United after the international break.

“I’m really excited to join Fulham. It’s a fantastic club with great supporters, and I can’t wait to get started, work with my teammates and give everything for the Club.”

Christoph Freund, FC Bayern sporting director also gave his thoughts on the move and revealed that the club will be keeping an eye on him:

“Jonah has developed very well with us over the past year and a half and was able to make his professional debut in his first full season in Munich.

“He has outstanding potential and should now gain further valuable experience at the highest European level. We will be closely monitoring him and are convinced that he will take the next steps in his development and continue to mature at Fulham.”
