Reports claimed that Chelsea ruthlessly cancelled Nicolas Jackson’s loan move to Bayern Munich last night after Liam Delap was ruled out for “six to eight weeks” during their 2-0 win over Fulham at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
However, the striker does not want to return to Chelsea and other moves are being explored and transfer experts such as Florian Plettenburg reports that the deal is back on in a piece of news that was also backed up by Fabrizio Romano.
“BREAKING | Last night the loan deal for Nicolas #Jackson and FC Bayern was officially off. It’s unbelievable, but: we’ve learned that top-secret negotiations and talks are ongoing again. #CFC
“Jackson deal to Bayern is back on!”
While Bayern Munich were unwilling to sign Nicolas Jackson on a permanent deal, a loan deal is still very much possible and reports state that Jackson's camp are refusing to give up on his loan move to the Bundesliga champions.
Chelsea have Tyrique George, Pedro Neto, Cole Palmer and Estevao Willian up top, but none are true No 9s and it will be difficult for manager Enzo Maresca if he does let the Senegal international leave this summer as they wait for updates on Delap’s injury timeline.
