The Manchester United forward has been the subject of endless transfer speculation since his move to the Spanish giants proved to be an unbelievable success.
Barcelona have a £26M option to buy in the loan deal for the England international who scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists for the club this season, establishing himself as one of the most efficient players under manager Hansi Flick.
Reports this week state that Barcelona are looking into a move for Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon, suggesting that a deal for Rashford could be off the cards.
However, speaking this week, Deco has suggested that the club are very happy with Rashford as they continue to negotiate for the 28 year old.
"Marcus has helped us a lot because he came on loan, it is not easy to come on loan as a player like him because he is a top player.
“He helped us a lot because he had the responsibility to replace Raphinha, it is not easy but he did very well," Deco told BBC Sport.
"Sometimes he (is) on the bench and it's not easy but he reacted very well and he did everything.
"His season was very good and we are happy he won La Liga with us. He deserves (it), he works a lot and works hard to be here. We are happy with him."
Barcelona have so far failed to approach United with the required fee to sign Rashford on a permanent deal but as they continue talks, a deal may be struck over the coming months.
