Lewandowski has been with Barca since joining from Bayern Munich in 2022 and has scored 120 times in 193 appearances for the Spanish giants who decided not to renew his contract this summer.
The 37-year-old footballer recorded 19 goals and 4 assists in 46 appearances last season and will search for a new club over the coming months, especially as his national side Poland miss out on the World Cup.
Links to Juventus, AC Milan, Manchester United and clubs from the Saudi Pro League have been linked with Lewandowski and now Fenerbahce have been reported as serious contenders to snap him up.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Turkish side are interested, as the striker weighs up his options.
“Fenerbahçe are interested in signing Robert Lewandowski as a free agent.
“Initial contacts made with his camp while Lewandowski keeps assessing all options.
“He’s among names suggested by presidential candidate Safi.”
According to Turkish media reports Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Hakan Safi made a formal approach for Lewandowski, with talks over a potential move reportedly ongoing as fans eagerly await to see if they can sign the veteran who would bring a ton of goals to the Super Lig.
