Barcelona chief Deco admits they're unlikely to bring in new additions over the January market.

This morning, Deco discussed their plans on Cadena SER.

He said: "The reality is that it's very difficult to find quality players who fit in at Barça in a market like this. I insist that I don't think we'll be focused on this in January.

"When we were planning the squad, we were clear about the innovations we wanted to make. It's not just about this season; we're also thinking about the future. The team started to take shape last season, and the idea is to consolidate this squad. We're working on that, thinking about the future, and we're happy."

He also addressed goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen's situation: "The first thing is for him to be cleared to play and available for selection. Ter Stegen needs to recover, and the coach will decide when he's available. He'll return with the intention of playing, and he could be the first, second, or third-choice goalkeeper. We'll see. He has a contract with Barça, and that's the clearest thing."

Another matter the sports director discussed was the renewal of Eric García's contract: "Only final details are missing... but Eric will sign a new contract."
