In his first game in charge, Pereira oversaw a 3-0 Europa League playoff first-leg win at Fener, with Murillo, Igor Jesus and Morgan Gibbs-White getting on the scoresheet.
Asked what impressed him most, Pereira said afterwards: "The quality of the players. I asked them to express themselves on the pitch but with organisation, and they did it.
"We had the chance to score two more goals, but it was a very good result. It was a consistent game for us, and we deserve the win."
On the second-leg at home, he continued: "It will be difficult, for sure, because they are a very good team. It's not easy to come here and score three goals without conceding.
"It's not easy to play here – I know. But the next game will be a different test. And we need to be consistent to face this team again."
