The Falconets coached by Moses Aduku will remain at the same venue for their second group match against China three days later.
They will then wrap up their group stage campaign against tournament debutants New Caledonia at Stadion Miejski LKS Lodz on Sunday, 13 September.
The 2026 edition will be hosted by Poland from 5 to 27 September, marking the tournament’s return to Europe for the first time since France staged the competition eight years ago.
Nigeria will be hoping to make history by finally lifting the prestigious trophy after several impressive outings in previous editions.
