Miguel Cardoso urged caution despite Mamelodi Sundowns’ first-leg advantage over FAR Rabat in the CAF Champions League final, insisting the job is far from done ahead of the decisive return leg.

A superb Aubrey Modiba free-kick secured a hard-fought 1-0 win for the South African champions at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday.

However, the South Africans’ manager admitted his side should have made more of their dominance while charging his team to seal a second title in the club’s history.

“Five I think it’s a bit too much and eventually not fair, but yeah, we should’ve scored one more goal and create a little bit better advantage and have one foot in the front,” Cardoso told the media.

“We need to take the energy into the second match of course so that we can fight for the trophy.

“We should not drop any kind of energy because we didn’t score, the moment of decisions are upfront and we need to look at the second match.”
