And he revealed: "I've always wanted to play for Scotland. I'm not just saying that because they have qualified for the World Cup. I have said that for several years.
"I haven't talked to Steve Clarke, but my management has been in contact with the Scots a few months ago.
"It will be a big goal and ambition if I come to the World Cup for Scotland. My dream of playing for Scotland is something I've had for several years."
