Spalletti replaced Igor Tudor earlier this season, though only signed to the end of the season.
"The numbers show that we are not where we want to be and we must remember that," Spalletti said on Friday.
"At the same time, we notice how close the supporters are to the team. Their support and their love for the club badge are clearly visible. It is something that gives us energy and drives us forward."
Spalletti also confirmed that talks about the future are to soon begin.
"As for the future, we will talk about it during the week. We will discuss both mine and the club's future in peace and quiet, without pressure or stress."
At the same time, Spalletti emphasised that the contract issue is not the most important thing right now.
"The most important thing is what the team does on the pitch and what attitude the players show in the matches. The results are important, but it is also important to work with the planning for the future," he added.
