Jean-Philippe Mateta's move from Crystal Palace to AC Milan could fall apart, leaving Jorgen Strand Larsen trapped at Wolves.

The French striker has undergone medical tests in London ahead of a potential permanent move to the Serie A where reports have suggested that both AC Milan and Juventus are hoping to snap him up.

This comes after his £30M transfer to AC Milan stalled this week in what is a worrying sign for the 28-year-old who he is keen to leave Palace who are currently a sinking ship under manager Oliver Glasner.

Reports state that AC Milan have yet to make a final decision on whether to sign Mateta, which will worry Wolves who agreed to sell Jorgen Strand Larsen to the Eagles for £43M over the weekend.

If Mateta’s deal to Italy falls through then so does Strand Larsen’s in a domino effect that may also affect Wolves’ deal’s to sign a replacement for the young striker who would stay for the rest of the season.

Strand Larsen enjoyed an impressive first season in England last year - banging in 14 goals in 35 Premier League outings. He has since been hit with injuries and has been underwhelming for Wolves this season as the side fight against relegation.

Interestingly, Mateta also doesn't follow Palace on Instagram. His bio reads: "Ils comprendront un jour," which translates to “They will understand one day.”

Mateta has been at Palace since early 2022 and if his deal collapses before the transfer deadline at 7pm tonight, many sides will be frustrated as they are forced to make no deals.
