The AC Milan superkid has joined Lecce on a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer.
Di Francesco told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "He's very young, he's very hungry, and he can improve in many ways: he needs to attack the goal more, be more precise, and not get discouraged if he makes a mistake.
"But he's the first to know this, and that's why he came here. He's a determined, very polite boy: these are fundamental values for me."
Meanwhile, on Nikola Krstovic's future, Di Francesco added: "He's here for now and is training very well. He's clearly in the market, there's no point in hiding it, and if he were to leave, we won't be caught off guard: we're monitoring some players."
