Inter won 3-2, with Juve fullback Pierre Kalulu sent off in the first-half for two yellow cards. His second was for a foul on Alessandro Bastoni, who clearly dived to win the foul. However, due to VAR only being able to intervene in Italy for a direct red card, referee Federico La Penna's decision stood.
Moratti said on Radio Anch'io Sport: "Divers annoy me, they've made me bored. The one the other night was an enthusiastic one: Bastoni made an incredible leap after an opponent's arm was stretched out, which gave Bastoni the chance to take advantage.
"The boy was thrilled by this opportunity, which ended in an injustice, because the other player hadn't committed a serious foul.
"Times have changed. Now Juve is complaining, playing the victim, it's a new phenomenon. I think they've exaggerated the protests, as if they were a terrible victim of Italian football, but history doesn't remember them that way. Normal protests, but they bring back old stories."
On Chivu, Moratti added: "A very serious coach. He resembles Mourinho more than you might think: attentive to detail and constantly close to the players. Having had Mourinho has helped him."
