Di Natale said of the youngster: "He's a very good striker, but I can assure you that he's also a guy with his head on his shoulders and his feet on the ground.
"Even when I met him, you could see that he was destined to wear the shirt of a big team.
"Given his movements, and I say this with great respect, he reminds me a bit of (Marco) Van Basten."
On Italy's chances, Di Natale believes they're in a good position with Rino Gattuso in charge.
He added, "He's the right person to do it, I respect him. Italy can't miss out on this tournament too."
