Milan won 1-0 through Pervis Estupinan's goal, bringing the Rossonero within seven points of Serie A leaders Inter.
Asked if the title race is again open, Di Canio replied: "If Inter are in this bind and have this fear of not making it... They're seeing ghosts from the past. They were terribly scared and are ten points ahead.
"(Nicolo) Barella, (Fede) Dimarco... And then all the others. Are they really so terrified? Especially about Milan."
Meanwhile, fellow pundit and former Milan defender Billy Costacurta also said: "More than Milan's merits, which were there, it seems to me that sometimes Inter enters matches without the right impetus.
"I think about what happened in the Champions League, with Atalanta and Juve who really wanted to turn their opponents around.
"Meanwhile, Inter are trotting along, as they did against Bodo. And then there are Inter's midfielders who continue to give little and this is the result."
