"There are many players in this squad who can help, like (Antonio) Caracciolo and (Raul) Albiol. Udinese? We're showing the right attitude: we're working well," he said. "What we're missing is being more consistent in front of goal like we were in the first half against Roma.

"I'm aiming to stay up with Pisa and qualify for the World Cup with Colombia. I know it's definitely difficult, but we're working towards this."

On signing for Pisa, he revealed a background story: "I had the opportunity to play in Spain; it was my dream. But my family wanted to come to Italy. When I spoke to the coach, he told me there was the possibility of playing more, that they needed a player with my experience. I felt the right energy; the Pisa management wanted me.

"Italy means a lot to me, it's my home. I became Italian, and my family owes a lot to this country. I've grown very fond of it, and we're very grateful for what we've experienced here."
