Inter's management have been impressed with the Romanian's work in his first season in charge and is already planning his contract renewal.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, despite having another year on his current contract, Chivu is close to signing a new deal until 2028, with an option for an additional season. This deal will include a significant salary increase.
All indications are that Inter management and coach are waiting to secure the league title before finalising the contract and announcing it publicly.
