The former Germany and Milan striker is happy seeing countryman Niclas Fullkrug leading the line for the Rossonero.
Bierhoff said of the on-loan West Ham striker: "You'll see (Christian) Pulisic and (Rafael) Leao's goals coming, but I'm convinced that my compatriot Füllkrug will also score. He's a good guy and his skills can be useful."
On the impact of Luka Modric, Bierhoff continued: "He should stay for the good of Milan and Italian football: there is no other Modric around."
Milan's win against Inter Milan on Sunday has them seven points behind the Serie A leaders.
Bierhoff added, "Do I believe in it? Yes. In the derby, I saw a motivated, confident team that played an excellent first half.
"Perhaps they dropped back a bit too much in the second half, but they held firm, a clear sign that, despite Inter being in front of them, there's organization and a willingness to fight at the back."
