Al-Nassr beat Al-Ittihad 2-0 on Friday in the Saudi Pro League without Ronaldo as Sadio Mane and Angelo Gabriel stepped up to score the goals for the side.
Reports state that Al-Nassr will not stand in Ronaldo's way if he pushes for a move this summer as his contract slowly winds down in a sign that the Portuguese icon will be departing.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus star has been linked with the MLS and even Inter Miami where he could link up with Lionel Messi.
A return to Manchester United has also been hinted at but Sky Sports report that “that option seems to be firmly closed” and that United have “no interest in bringing Ronaldo back for a third stint”.
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr after leaving United in December 2022, quickly becoming the best-paid player in football history with an annual salary of £177M.
The forward has 18 months remaining on his deal and with the summer approaching, he may seek a move away from Saudi Arabia even if many clubs in Europe will never be able to afford his high wages.
