Eze was previously on Arsenal's books as a youngster until being released at the age of 13 and now the Gunners are looking to bring him back to North London in a move that has to happen before his £68M release clause expires or the club may have to shell out even more.
The England international is one of the Premier League's most sought-after players and the club see him as their new No.10 and believe that his versatility to also play on the wing will make him a real asset for manager Mikel Arteta.
As reported by The Standard, his release clause will end on August 15th, after which the Eagles will be able to charge whatever they see for him in a deal that could surpass £80M if Palace want to get the most money they can from the 27 year old.
After splashing nearly £200m on Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Christian Mosquera, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres Arteta is keen on improving his side even further as they aim to fight in yet another title race.
Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus and Jakub Kiwior are all reportedly open to be sold this summer which would fuel a move for Eze which would only boost their title hopes against the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Palace are the Premier League side who have spent the least this summer and Eze’s sale would prompt them to finally dip into the transfer market and improve the side that lifted the FA Cup last season.
