Palace increasingly hopeful as Eze exit clause reaches deadline

The England attacker is wanted by Arsenal and Tottenham this summer.

However, Palace are hoping to clear a significant factor today with the expiring of Eze's buyout clause in his contract.

BBC Sport says Eze's £68m clause would be active until the final two weeks before the new Premier League kickoff.

That date falls today, Friday August 1, so giving Palace greater power in negotiations with any suitor.

Arsenal are favourites to land Eze, but must make major sales to fit with Profit & Sustainability limitations before bidding for the 27 year-old midfielder.
