However, Il Messaggero says Bailey suffered a muscle injury and will undergo a scan on Thursday morning.
Bailey is said to be "not optimistic" and is expected to be sidelined for three weeks.
The winger joined Roma for a loan fee of €2m with his permanent option set at €22m.
