Both Napoli and Borussia Dortmund look to have dropped out of the race for the 21 year old who the Blues are desperate to sell this summer. This comes from talkSPORT and the fact that many reports stated that once the sale of Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz was confirmed, the Italian giants would chase down the Chelsea starlet.
Chukwuemeka, who joined the club from Aston Villa in 2022 has been limited to just 32 games in all competitions and featured for Borussia Dortmund on loan for the second half of last season after being pushed out of the squad.
The midfielder has been removed from the Blues’ official website, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea want nothing but a sale this summer and will not accept any loan offer.
“Chelsea remain very clear with all clubs interested in Carney Chukwuemeka: he’s not available on loan.
“#CFC only consider permanent sale.”
Dortmund remain interested after his loan spell but as that is not possible it looks like Juventus will swoop in for the English international whose move to the Serie A is looking ever more certain as Luiz makes his way to Nottingham Forest over the next few weeks.
