A crushing defeat to relegation rivals Nottingham Forest leaves Spurs above the Premier League's bottom three by a point after a winless start to 2026.
The defeat to Forest was the fifth Tudor had overseen from seven matches across all competitions and also the fourth in Premier League action since he replaced Thomas Frank.
Now, as reported by journalist Pete O'Rourke, Tudor is set to depart as the board aim to bring in De Zerbi in an attempt to save their season.
“Igor Tudor is set to leave Tottenham in the next 24/48 hours. Roberto De Zerbi is the top target to come in if he can be convinced to take the job now rather than at the end of the season.”
Fellow journalist Graeme Bailey also suggests Tudor will leave by mutual consent over the coming days in what has been a brutal spell for the Croatian who, much like Frank and Ange Postecoglou failed to bring life to the club.
Tottenham now sit just one place and one point outside of the relegation zone with seven league fixtures to go as they edge closer to the Championship.
Whether De Zerbi would be interested in taking over a side who are heading to the second division is unknown but it is clear that the Tottenham board want change before the club fall into the drop zone.
