Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo’s January release clause is only valid for 10 days in January as top clubs push to make bid.

Semenyo has been heavily linked with a January move to several Premier League sides, and the presence of a £65M release clause in his contract makes him very much within reach.

However, as reported by journalist Ben Jacobs, news has been revealed that adds a twist to the story which will only make clubs rush even more to try and secure his signature.

“Antoine Semenyo’s January release clause is only valid for the first ten days of January. A winter exit from Bournemouth is looking likely.”

Sky Sports report that Manchester United and Manchester City are still ahead of other clubs and remain neck-and-neck for his signature.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are said to be lining up a bid as they try to replace Alexander Isak who has broken his leg and Mohamed Salah, who is now representing Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Liverpool is said to be Semenyo’s first choice if a bid is made, but the champions will have just 10 days to make up their mind whilst also competing with other top clubs.

The Reds are also interested in Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi whose contract expires at the end of this season. Manager Arne Slot will have to get his priorities straight over the next few weeks if he is to secure the pair, however as the window approaches.
