Iago is eligible for the Selecao but has instead opted to play for Three Lions as he continues to enjoy life in London alongside brother Isago in the Chelsea academy.

The 14-year-old played a starring role as the Young Lions beat Cyprus in an impressive 3-0 win for the side who boast the likes of Luca Eden (Liverpool), William Ferdinand (Barcelona), Aaron Woolford (Chelsea) Ashiah Haughton Sinclair (Tottenham Hotspur) and Luis Munoz (Arsenal) in the side packed full of talent.

Silva is a Chelsea legend, featuring in over 155 games as he won the Champions League and Club World Cup.

His sons Isago and Iago are reportedly enjoying life in the United Kingdom and will be looking towards a bright future as they attempt to follow in their father’s footsteps.

Thiago said: “At every club I’ve been at, I’ve felt a lot of love from the clubs themselves and the fans, but here (at Chelsea) it feels a little bit different, because of the fact that my kids are playing in the team, too.

“For me, it would be a dream to see them play professionally at Chelsea.

“I love watching them, ultimately, and I try to help them as much as I can. I love seeing my kids playing here.”
