The Premier League champions are lagging behind both Manchester United and Chelsea in the race for the top four as they seek 3 points away from home on Sunday afternoon.
Slot’s side will aim to build on a morale-boosting 3-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup fourth round as the side slowly start to look like champions once again.
Meanwhile, Forest kicked off the Vitor Pereira era with a convincing victory over Fenerbahce in the Europa League which may worry Liverpool who will remember the 3-0 thrashing against Forest last time out.
Slot will be without the likes of Jeremie Frimpong (thigh), Giovanni Leoni (knee) and Conor Bradley (knee) in defence as the Dutchman relies on Dominik Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones or Joe Gomez at right back once again.
An update on Frimpong was given this week as Slot eases him back to training.
"Jeremie will not be involved this weekend yet. We hope he will be involved next week if things go as planned."
In the middle of the park, Wataru Endo (Ankle/Foot) is out whilst Alexander Isak (Calf/Shin/Heel) is also missing. The Swedish international could return as early as next month however as confirmed by Slot this week.
“Alex, I think he has been on the pitch now, not with his football shoes but with his running shoes, for the first time this week, so that will still take a while as well before he is ready to play for us again.”
