Arteta and his side are just 90 minutes from the semi-finals where they will clash with Atletico Madrid who knocked out Barcelona on Tuesday night on aggregate.

The North London side must avoid defeat if they are to reach the UCL semis in successive seasons for the first time in their history in what could be a momentous occasion.

Arsenal boast an eight-game unbeaten home run against Portuguese teams in Europe, winning six and drawing two of those clashes as they seek to be crowed European champions for the first time in their history.

However, Arteta will be without a number of key players for the clash in a number of positions including Mikel Merino (Ankle/Foot Injury), Martin Odegaard (Knee Injury), Riccardo Calafiori (Other), Bukayo Saka (Other), Jurrien Timber (Groin/Hip/Pelvic Injury).

Saka has not appeared for Arsenal since getting injured on England duty and Arteta hopes he will be back in "days not weeks".

He has missed Arsenal’s three games since the international break and remains a doubt for tonight as Arteta aims to rest the winger for the clash against title challengers Manchester City this weekend.
