Liverpool are set to be without Dominik Szoboszlai for their Premier League meeting with Sunderland on Wednesday after the midfielder who had been covering at right back picked up a late red card.
First-choice players Conor Bradley (knee) and Jeremie Frimpong (groin) are injured while Joe Gomez (hip) is only due to return to training today and remains doubtful for the clash which leaves Slot’s defence exposed.
Despite this, Slot was asked if backup Ramsay would start against The Black Cats, and the Dutchman gave a controversial answer.
