The 22-year-old joined on a contract until the summer of 2030 from Shakhtar Donetsk this summer and made his first start as The Cottagers faced Cambridge United in the Carabao Cup third round.
Kevin made impressive appearances against Leeds United and Brentford in which fans made compilations of his flair and dribbling ability which impressed many.
However, worryingly for Fulham, winger Kevin seemed to be in some pain as he went off late on against Cambridge which could end his promising form before he is allowed more freedom by Silva.
“We’ll have to see in the next few hours. It is located in the shoulder and we’ll see if it’s something serious or not,” Silva said at full-time.
"Right now it's full of pain there, and we have to wait to see if he goes to a scan or not, and to be more clear with you and to have a clear feedback to give you.
"Right now, let's see what's going to happen, but not something that he didn't feel after. He keeps feeling the pain there and we have to wait."
The £34.6M signing suffering such a setback ahead of this weekend’s clash with Fulham is a worrying sign, especially as Villa are desperate to prove that they aren’t relegation candidates this season after a dire start.
Fulham will then travel to the Vitality Stadium for a game against Bournemouth in the final round of fixtures before the Premier League break which could allow Kevin the time needed to recover.
