Two Liverpool legends are set to play their last games for Liverpool in the final match of season against Brentford at Anfield on Sunday in what will be an emotional day at Anfield.
Salah and Robertson, signed within weeks of each other in the summer of 2017 and will say farewell together this weekend as tributes pour in for the pair who established themselves as club icons over the past 9 years.
Liverpool’s last game of the campaign will be Henderson’s first return to the Anfield turf since he left in the summer of 2023 and as the former captain returns to Merseyside, he is set to get the send-off he deserves.
Three weeks ago Salah requested that the 35-year-old be allowed to wave goodbye to supporters, after helping the side back to their perch.
“He didn’t get that send-off or farewell he deserved, because he left immediately,” Salah told TNT Sports.
“People in the city know how much it meant to Hendo also, being here captain of the club for 12 years, more than me, more than Virg, more than anyone.”
Henderson, alongside Kelleher will return on Sunday, and although they likely won’t be amongst the squad celebrating Salah and Robertson’s departure, they will get their time to wave off supporters who certainly won’t mind getting their final goodbye.
