While the Seagulls didn't want to lose their captain, talkSPORT says they presented Dunk with the offer received from Nottingham Forest.

Given the commitment and loyalty shown by Dunk over his time with the club, Brighton were prepared to lose him in the final week of the winter market if he had chosen to depart.
Dunk, 34, would've earned a bumper pay-rise if he had accepted the move, but the defender instead chose to stay.
The veteran has spent his entire pro career with Brighton, joining the club initially as a 12 year-old.
