AC Milan and Saudi Pro League sides have made contact with the representatives of Darwin Nunez this summer as he prepares to leave Liverpool.

According to Sky Italia, AC Milan are said to have made the Uruguay international their top target for the final weeks of the transfer window as their search for a striker continues. The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with moves away from Anfield for months after failing to secure a consistent spot under manager Arne Slot’s who has signed Hugo Ekitike and is now hoping to bring in Newcastle United star Alexander isak

Nunez, who joined Liverpool from Benfica in June 2022 for a fee that could rise to £85M has struggled to live up to his price tag despite moments of brilliance that shows that he does have a world class striker within him, he just does not consistently prove it.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal and Milan are the favourites to sign Nunez who is available for far less than Liverpool paid for him as the side prepare to take a financial loss. Nunez recently bagged a hat-trick during a behind-closed-doors pre-season encounter with Championship side Stoke City which could help a move away which should come over the next few weeks as teams prepare for the first game of the season.

So far Liverpool have not been able to find an agreement with any suitors for the former Benfica forward's signature. However, if reports are correct then a bid from either a Saudi Pro League side or Milan should be presented to Liverpool soon, especially once The Reds wrap up the deal for Isak.
