Now fully fit and amongst the goals for his new club, Wissa has revealed Shearer is in contact regularly with motivating messages.

"The first time Alan Shearer text me when I signed, I was like, ‘is this someone else’s phone!?’ I couldn’t believe it," Wissa told Premier League Productions.
"When he text me before the Fulham game it gave me a huge boost because I knew he was watching me. He’s a big legend and that’s why I was so happy to score."
Wissa also revealed: "Papiss Cisse text me to wish me all the best because he knows how proud I am to be here. He and Demba Ba are why I fell in love with Newcastle. I only wanted to come here. It was only ever Newcastle."
