The midfielder is said to be inside the final year of his current deal, however, Moyes has cast doubt on that.

Moyes said: “I don’t know if he’s in the last year of his contract. I’m sure there will be a clause in there where we’ve got him so, I couldn’t even answer that question.”
The Scot, though, also stated new contract talks with goalkeeper Jordan Pickford were now underway.
He added, “He’s done brilliantly well over the years. I had him at Sunderland when he first started.
“No doubt, we’ll be doing everything we can to make sure we get Jordan re-signed.”
