Two Premier League teams sitting in the bottom half of the table clash on Saturday afternoon as they seek to break their duck in form. Moyes’ side head into Saturday’s contest having won only one of their last seven Premier League matches, in what is a worrying statistic for Everton fans.
Does Ndiaye have a future at Everton?
Moyes first touched upon Iliman Ndiaye’s future and the rumours that he may force a move away from the side once the summer window opens.
"He's fine. He's trained today. Hopefully, everything is OK."
"I don't always see the speculation because I am not looking probably. He's got a three-and-half-year deal here - probably more. So it's something we are fully aware of.
"It would be wrong for teams not to talk about him because of his form. But Everton are building a team here, and we are building it with players like (Ndiaye)."
Grealish missing out on the England squad
Next, questions focused on Jack Grealish missing out on an England call-up as manager Thomas Tuchel overlooked the former Manchester City star in favour of the likes of Phil Foden and Eberechi Eze.
"I get asked about Jack in every press conference. We are pleased with how he is doing, and we want him to add to his tally of assists and score a couple of goals more as well - that will help us a lot.
"Thomas Tuchel picks his England team, and he has to decide what he wants. At the moment, Jack is doing really, really well for us."
Dibling must fight for his spot
Summer signing Tyler Dibling has struggled to make it into Moyes' squad this season and Moyes explained that competition for places is high so he must wait for his moment.
“At the moment, he’s got Ili Ndiaye and Jack Grealish in front of him, so that’s probably the reason why he’s finding it difficult to break into the first team.
“We want him to up his levels, up his training.
“When I first came here, Leighton Baines, John Stones, Joleon Lescott, you could go on... they all had to sit and wait for their time and the right moments to find their way into the team, that’s the way it is.
“For Tyler at the moment, he’ll have to do that as well.”
Beto and Barry's form is unsustainable
Finally, Moyes opened up on strikers Beto and Thierno Barry, who have scored just one between them, which is weighing the side down as they try to break into the top ten.
"Last season, no-one expected Beto to score any goals when I came in. But he did fantastically well and probably helped make sure we are a Premier League team with his goals in the second half of last year.
"We are putting them under pressure to score goals as well. We need to give them that confidence and belief. But they have to give some back as well because they have to show us what they can do to earn the jersey.
"We are creating a bit but the returns from the forwards hasn't been good enough. But there are a lot of things we have to take into consideration - not just the centre forwards."
