Manchester United academy talent JJ Gabriel has trained with the first-team this week in a huge boost for the teenager.

U21 midfielders James Scanlon and Jack Fletcher, as well as others like Shea Lacey and Bendito Mantato have trained with the first team under manager Ruben Amorim. Now, the Portuguese boss has turned to 15 year old JJ Gabriel posted a picture of himself before training.

The youngster, who is playing well above his age range, has quickly established himself in the U18s, marking his debut last season with two goals from the bench for Adam Lawrence’s side earlier this month.

Amorim’s side welcomed him into their ranks on Thursday, ahead of their clash with Brighton in the Premier League this weekend, where United will be looking for 3 consecutive

victories.

Wins over Liverpool and Sunderland have boosted confidence, and Amorim’s side are looking full of chemistry and tactical awareness compared to the start of the season.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano commented on JJ Gabriel’s step-up to the first team in what has been a meteoric rise to Amorim’s side, who will be keeping an eye on his impressive progress.

“Manchester United talent JJ Gabriel, in first team training today at 15 years old.

“Seen as one of the best talents of #MUFC Academy, key part of long term project.”
